Aline W. Briggs, 96, of Chillicothe, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Dublin Methodist Hospital. She was born on January 22, 1917 in Austin Springs, TN, the daughter of the late Bunis and Grace Summers Westbrook. On May 18, 1945, she married James Dudley Briggs and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1988.

She is survived by one son; Ronald J. Briggs of Mount Gilead, OH, one daughter; Nancy Briggs Kehoe of Chillicothe, three grandchildren; Sarah Morrow, Andrew Briggs, Jim Kehoe, three great grandchildren; Kate Aline Morrow, Jack Morrow and Grace Marie Kehoe. Aline is survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins who she dearly loved and enjoyed. She is preceded in death by one grandson, Scott Kehoe and two sisters; Sarah Wilkins and Marjorie Gimmel.

Aline was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a founding member of the Frankfort Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and was a member of the Frankfort Garden Club where she enjoyed her time with the other members of the club.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Frankfort Baptist Church with her niece, Rev. Barbara Woods Salyers officiating with Rev. Paul Winks assisting. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday at the church from noon to the time of the service. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
