Anne Koger Ricketts passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at Grafton Oaks Nursing Home in Dayton where she lived for nine years. Anne was born October 11, 1918 to the late Earl and Blanche Painter Koger. She was born in Frankfort, the village founded by her great, great grandfather, John McNeill. She was preceded in death June 13, 1981 by her husband William Corwin Ricketts.
She is survived by her sister; Becky Shasteen of Bainbridge, nephew; Mike (Bonnie) Shasteen of Florida, niece; Susan (Melvin) Johnson of Bainbridge, grand niece; Kim Carter of Columbus, grand nephew; Clay (Zoe) Shasteen of Florida, 2 great grand nieces and 2 great grand nephews.
Anne graduated from Frankfort High School in 1936 and then moved to Dayton. She retired from Wright Patterson Air Base after 30 years as a clerk typist. Anne loved to read, crochet, write poetry, and her cats.
Cremation has taken place. Calling hours will not be observed. Graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort with Pastor Matt Brookes officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow.
