Ardith Ruth Chaney

Ardith Ruth Chaney, 87, of Chillicothe died 12:30 m Tuesday December 28, 2010 at Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born February 22, 1923 in Ross County the daughter of the late Luther Alexander and Victoria Taylor King.



In 1941 she married Clark Chaney who died in 1997. She is survived by 5 children, Rev. Jerry (Sue) Chaney of GA, Marvin "Plute" (Sharon) Chaney of MO, Janet Sue (Bob) Kaufman of Lebanon, Theresa Chaney of Lebanon and Crystal Chaney of Chillicothe; 6 grandchildren; Dewayne Gordon, Latisha Long, James Chaney, Todd Chaney, Oliva Ball and Hillary Ball, 2 great-grandchildren;Darian and Christoher Chaney, 2 sisters; Grace Dotson and Norma Jean Wilson both of Chillicothe, 2 brothers; George Kings, Sr. and Dane King both of Chillicothe. She had numerous nieces and nehews and loved each of them as her own children.



She was redeceased by 2 infant sons, 3 infant grandchildren, 3 sisters; Mary Davis, Erma King and Elise King and 4 brothers; Edward, Calvin, Paul and Jimmy King.



Ardith resided on Black Run Road until 2 years ago when she moved to the Westmoreland Place in Chillicothe. She ws a Ross County Health Aid and her favorie ast times were going to thrift shos and garage sales. She loved her church family and loved life. She served her lord to the fullest and was faithful in her mission to win souls.



Ardith was a member of Beulah Chael where the services will be held 1 m Friday December 31, 2010 with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Townshi Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 m Thursday (today) at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME of Bainbridge.
