Benjamin "Leroy" Knapp Tonti

Benjamin "Leroy" Knapp Tonti, 63, of Leesburg, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 3:10 a.m. in the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on Wednesday, April 5, 1961, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Herschel William and Alice Lorraine Rafferty Knapp. Leroy was adopted by Edward and Patricia Tonti. He married the former Thresa Calhoun on March 9, 1987.

Leroy is survived by his adopted mother, Patricia Tonti of Grove City, his wife, Thresa Tonti of Leesburg, their children; Josh Knisley of Chillicothe, Lynn (Heath) White of Bainbridge, Jerrod Knisley (Roxanne) of Leesburg, Zack Tonti of Leesburg and Brittany (Derek) Ridner of Mt. Orab, fourteen grandchildren and one great - grandson, three sisters; Elaine Knapp of Washington C.H., Anita Smith of Grove City and Amy Knopp of West Jefferson, three brothers; William Knapp of Greenfield, James Knapp of Washington C.H. and Steve Short of Ashville. Leroy was preceded in death by one son: Heath Knisley, one sister: Valerie, and two brothers: Mike and Brad.

Leroy was a glass maker working at Mark's Glass Shop in Hillsboro. He loved spending time outdoors doing his favorite hobbies; fishing, hunting ginseng, yellow root and mushrooms.

In keeping with Leroy's wishes, he will be cremated. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, March 1, 2025 beginning at noon and ending at 2 p.m. in the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield.
