Bennie Hollon

Bennie Hollon 75, of Bainbridge died Monday, September 16, 2013 at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati. He was born December 21, 1937 in Wolfe County, KY the son of the late Oldham and Maxine Brewer Hollon. On November 14, 1959 he married Janet Parrish, who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Duane (Kelley) Hollon and Bridget (Wes) Skaggs both of Bainbridge, Pete (Pam) Hollon of Lynchburg and Tara (Tim) Mustard of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Coty and Jenny Skaggs, Cassi Skaggs, Whitney and Xavier Hollon, Zander, Zayne, Grace, Jordan and Cody Mustard, Heather and Dwayne Walker, Heidi Hollon, DJ, Jennifer and Adam Newman and Kaitlyn Lusher; great grandchildren, Eli Diehl, River Weber III, Alex, Alyssa and Andrew Walker, Lester Corcoran, Carlee Spurlock, Eddie Newman and Paityn Lusher; sister, Sandy (Jim) Mettler of Bainbridge; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Hollon of Bainbridge and Kitty Long of Greenfield; uncle, Willie Hollon of Hillsboro; and many nieces, nephews and special friends including, Mark Anderson, Joe Pooler and the Mennonite Community.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Oldham and Warren Hollon, and a great grandson, River Weber II.

Bennie loved spending time with his grandkids, tinkering in his garage and watching the Cincinnati Reds and WWE. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1325.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Bainbridge Church of Christ with Mike Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-6 pm Saturday at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the American Diabetes Assoc.
