Bennie Ray Mason 59 of Bainbridge, OH passed away August 20, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born October 20, 1954 in Greenfield, OH to Dale and Anna Mae (Knapp) Mason. On September 12, 2013 he married Kathy (Stanley) Mason, who survives.
He is also survived by his son Jeremy (Beth) Mason; two granddaughters, Ashtin and Sasha Mason (whom he referred to as his little women); stepson, Jesse Stanley; stepdaughter, Jenny (Kevin) Meyer; step grandsons, Henry and Wyatt; brother, Dale Mason, Memphis, TN; sisters Rhonda (Bruce) Purdum, Bainbridge and Roxann McNaughton, Grove City, OH; special aunt, Bonnie McClain, Bainbridge; brother-in-law, John O. Free, Bainbridge; sister-in-law, Konnie (Randy) Cross, Bainbridge and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Bennie was preceded in death by his father Dale Lee Mason.
Bennie was owner operator of Ben Mason Trucking "Help Ole Ben" for many years; he worked for the carpenters union and loved woodworking.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to John "Polfer" Free for the time and devotion he gave Bennie during his illness.
In accordance with Bennie's wishes there will be no visitation or services.
Donations in memory of Bennie may be mailed to the Hospice of Fayette County 222 N. Oakland Ave. Washington CH, OH 43160.
