Bernice Opal Cokonougher

Bernice O. Cokonougher, 92, of Frankfort, died at 3:20 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Vineyards at Concord, Frankfort. She was born on January 5, 1923 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Lottie Jean Detty Williams. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles E. "Sonny" Dreitzler and Herman "Tom" Cokonougher.

She is survived by her five children: John E. Dreitzler of Frankfort, Charles R. "Bob" Dreitzler of Chillicothe, Judy Ebin of Eugene Oregon, Jenny Dreitzler of South Salem and James D. Dreitzler of Frankfort. Bernice was a loving grandmother to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Lee Roll of Frankfort and Mary Snyder of Cape Coral, FL. She was preceded in death by her five sisters and three brothers.

Bernice was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church. She worked for many years as a Nurse's Aide at the Greenfield Manor and Westmoreland Place. She later worked at Book World for a few years. Bernice was an avid gardener.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. No calling hours will be observed. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME of Frankfort is serving the family.
