Bessie Lee Acord 79 of Chillicothe died 2:00 am Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Brown Memorial Home in Circleville. She was born August 30, 1934 in Bainbridge the daughter of the late John and Alma Everhart Smith. On September 9, 1949 she married Robert E. Acord who died February 15, 2007.
Surviving are three children, Linda (Steve) Jenkins and Sue Acord both of Chillicothe and Robert (Cheryl) Acord of Bourneville; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Debbie Allen, two grandchildren, four sisters and seven brothers. Bessie was a member of the Moose Lodge 1626 of Chillicothe and she loved to dance and go to yard sales.
A private graveside service will be held, in the Bainbridge Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. No calling hours will be observed. The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
