Blain N. Richardson, 77, of Frankfort, died on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on June 12, 1935 in Ross County, the son of the late William and Zelma Hammond Richardson. On January 22, 1962 he married Barbara Ann Bricker who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Ronnie Free of Frankfort, one son and daughter-in-law; Mark and Crystal Richardson of Lawrenceburg, IN, four grandchildren; Kaitlin and Gunnar Free and Carly and Andrew Richardson, two sisters; Ruth (Dow) Coey and Charlotte (Billy) Smith of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by brothers; Walter, William, Jr., Scott, Bernard and Martin and one sister; Virginia Hice.
Blain was a graduate of Southeastern High School. He retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a Drivers License examiner Supervisor, with 37 years of service. He also was a contract employee of the Ohio National Guard for many years as Primary Rangekeeper at the Camp Sherman Rifle Range. He was an US Army veteran and a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, at 11 am in the Frankfort United Methodist Church with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort on Thursday, from 5-8 pm.
