Blanche Lourena Shoemaker 95 of Bourneville died 11:22 pm Monday, October 20, 2014 at Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born October 8, 1919 in Ross County the daughter of the late Noah and Lola Looney Pollock. On August 6, 1937 she married Reuben Shoemaker who died July 13, 1977.
She is survived by five daughters, Ginger Long and Linda (Donald) Carroll of Bourneville, Connie Bethel of Bainbridge, Myrna Schneider (Steven Letnity) of MI and Jackie (Danny) Schobelock of CA; 14 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren; sister, Juanita Hampton of FL; brothers, Dale (Leola) Pollock of Chillicothe and Noah Pollock of Felicity, OH and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Blanche was preceded in death by her daughter, Nora Vandemark; son-in-law, Larry Jack Bethel; grandson, David Purdum; great grandson, Larry Jack Bethel; two sisters and eight brothers.
Blanche was a member of the B&O Railroad Shenandoah Women's Club. She retired from Twin School as a cook and spent the rest of her days knitting, crocheting and cooking.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, October 31, 2014 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with David White officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery. The Shoemaker family will receive family and friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
