Carl K. Meadows

Carl K. Meadows 82 of Hillsboro formerly of Bainbridge passed away at his home on Friday, April 26, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born Wednesday, March 11, 1942, in Grundy, Virginia to McKinley and Thelma (Price) Meadows. On April 9, 1962, he married the former Lula M. Wisecup, who survives.

He is also survived by a daughter Carla Woods; son Kenny Gattshall; six grandchildren Amber Lawson, Kyle Meadows, Jonathan Meadows, Cherokee Brickles, Cassandra (Jason) Dameron and Matthew Woods; great grandchildren Jordan (Ashley) Obenour, Nakhia Lusmat, Curtis Meadows, Bentley Meadows, Lincoln Meadows, Jake Brickles, Kachina Brickles, Tyler Woods, Grace Woods and Liam Dameron; a great great granddaughter Arya Obenour; three sisters Betty (Art) Woods, Doris Vandemark of Arizona, and Cricket Younker; two brothers Enze (Patty) Younker and David Younker; and several nieces and nephews.

Carl was preceded in death by his father McKinley; mother and stepfather Thelma and Otis Younker; son Carl Allen Meadows and a great granddaughter Lillie Woods Elder. 

Carl loved to hunt, fish and mushroom hunt. He also loved to do woodworking and painting. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing sports including bowling.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Pastor Paul Dameron officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
