Carl A. Williams 84 of Nipgen went to his reward at 9:05 pm Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Heartland of Chillicothe. He was born September 29, 1931 in Pike County the son of the late Archie and Ora Cousins Williams.

He is survived by his children, Jeffery Allen (Brenda) Williams, Kathi (Samuel) Ranford, Kelli Jo Bradley, Guy E. (Brenda) Williams, Kris Marie Williams along with their mother, Donna Williams and Stephanie (Tom Richmond) Williams and her mother, Sara Pope; grandchildren, Jaime Hairston, Courtney Tyler, Angela Bradley, Kendra Williams and Alexandra Shaeffer; four great grandchildren; sister, Doris Gassaway and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Heartland, and a special thanks to Lori and Justin, for their care and support of Carl during his illness.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Grace Sockwell, Pauline Hall and Marvine Williams and brothers, Harold, Vimont, James, Harry, Eugene and Kenneth Williams.

Carl was a lifelong member of Eden Baptist Church, he was an Army veteran and he retired from the Veterans Affairs in Chillicothe as a safety inspector after 30 years of service. Carl also was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

A service of memory will be held 1 pm Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Eden Baptist Church, Nipgen Rd. Pike County, with Rev. Milton Dean officiating. Interment will be in the Eden Cemetery with military honors by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with Carl's family from 11 am until the start of the service.
