Carlene Minney

Carlene Minney 71 of South Salem died 6:08 pm Monday, March 9, 2015 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born May 18, 1943 in Ross County the daughter of the late Carl and Geraldine Stewart Shaw. On November 3, 1989 she married Harvey "Hob" Minney, who survives.

She is also survived by her children, Tina McHargue of VA, Andrea (Patrick) Zimmerman of Springfield, Daron (Jan) Wisecup of Chillicothe, Tawnya Sanford of VA and Toni (Jamie) Estep of Chillicothe; step children, Glenn Minney of Washington DC, Charles Minney, Stacey (Chris) Coffee and Bill (Crissy) Stansberry all of Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren and one great granddaughter, one great grandson and another great grandson on the way; sister, Tammy (Rick) Miller of Bourneville; brothers, Mel (Sue) Shaw and Chris Shaw both of FL and Jeff (Cindy) Shaw of Bainbridge; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Rami Yoakum.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Nick Sanford.

Carlene was a member of the American Legion Post 14 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved traveling and being out in the sun especially at the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her family but specifically her grandchildren. Carlene loved her casinos.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Maple Grove Christian Union Church with Pastor Brett Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with Carlene's family from 11 am until the time of the service at the church on Friday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a local veteran's organization.
