Carol Sue Nichols, 74, of Chillicothe, died on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born on Thursday, September 14, 1950, in St. Mary's, a daughter of the late Donald H. and Dorothea R. Deitsch Larie Sr.. She married Pearl Nichols, who survives.

In addition to her husband Pearl, she is survived by four sons, Pearl (Michelle) Nichols Jr., Kevin (Marsha) Nichols, Shawn Nichols, Brandon Nichols, one daughter, Dorothea Nichols, all of Chillicothe, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, one sister, Jeannine Vanover, four brothers, Willis Butch Springer, Greg (Carol) Springer, Donald H. (Rosalee) Larie Jr., Randy (Sharon) Larie, one sister-in-law, Anna Springer, and one brother-in-law, Von Harenberg. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Springer, Linda Harenberg, and four brothers, Jerry (Della) Springer, Jackie R. Springer Sr., Rickie L. (Jewell) Springer, Dale Springer, and one brother-in-law, John Vanover.

Carol liked working puzzles, playing bingo, and spending time with her grandkids, and great-grandkids. She worked for Hills Department Store, and Jerry's Pizza on Paint Street, Chillicothe.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg, with Rev. Dave Yinger officiating. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, is serving the family.
