Carolyn Sue Knisley 67 of Bainbridge died 9:34 am Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born Sunday, September 8, 1957, in Ross County to the late Charles R. and Emma (Colvin) Newlan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John E. "Henry" Knisley; sister Janet Skyles and five brothers Robert, Johnny, Roy "Red", Ronald and Marvin "Marlin" Newlan.
She was an amazing mother of two children, son Jonathan Knisley of Texas and daughter Alexis Knisley of Dayton. Also surviving are two sisters Ruby (Ronald) Carter of South Salem and Emma "Jeannie" Sines of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews and several dear friends.
Carolyn loved having fun. She enjoyed boogie on the blacktop, dancing, listening to country music, shopping and she liked and followed the Willow Creek Band. She was also known to always have a Pepsi in her hand.
Services will be held 1 pm Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Rev. Richard Cottrill officiating. The burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 am until 1 pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
