Carolyn Smith

Carolyn J. Smith, 76, of Frankfort, died at 12:40 p.m., on Friday, October 27, 2023. She was born on Thursday, May 1, 1947, in Ross County, a daughter of the late Herbert and Bertha Colburn Willis.

Carolyn is survived by her four children, Angela (William) McCatherine, Travis (Tina) Wheeler, Tammy (Troy,) Lori (John) Young, ten grandchildren, Kyle (Brooke) Gentzel, Heather Gentzel, Ashlee McCatherine, Krista (Cory) Baker, Shayna (Samuel) McDonie, Amber Wheeler, Sierra Wilkinson, Brandon (Kaitlyn) Wilkinson, Kaylin Young, Mason Cutchall, fifteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Alberta Bolten, Pauline Garner, one brother, Albert (Phyllis) Willis. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Doris Tarter, one brother, Donald Willis, and her former husband and caretaker, Roger W. Smith.

Carolyn was a graduate of Adena High School, where she was homecoming queen in her senior year. She was a Christian woman and dearly loved her family, friends, and to spend time doing anything outside in her flowers.

A funeral service for Carolyn will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m.. Those wishing to share a memory may sign Carolyn's online register book.
