Carolyn “Sue” Garringer, 77, of Washington Court House, died at 5:06 a.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on September 25, 1938 in New Holland, the daughter of the late Carl “Babe” and Kathleen Little Cottrill.
Surviving are one daughter; Lisa Bowman of Greenfield, one granddaughter; Mandy S. (Mike) Mills of Grove City, two great-grandchildren; Trevor and Zach Mills and best friends; Joyce Garringer and Jean Ann Fordyce. She was preceded in death by one brother; Richard Cottrill.
Carolyn was a 1956 graduate of Washington Senior High. She retired from Greenfield Research. Carolyn attended the New Martinsburg United Methodist Church and the Bloomingburg United Methodist Church and was a member of the Fayette County Senior Citizens.
In keeping with her wishes, Carolyn will be cremated. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Bloomingburg United Methodist Church. Rev. Phillip Webb will officiate the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Fayette County Humane Society at 153 S. Main Street, Suite 3, Washington Court House, Ohio, 43160. The ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME of Greenfield is serving the family.
