Cecile Lorraine Benner

Cecile L. Benner, 85, of Bainbridge passed from this life at 10:10 am Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Westmoreland Place, Chillicothe. She was surrounded by her family and caring staff members at the wonderful facility where she spent her final weeks.

Cecile was born in Ross County on November 26, 1929 to Clark and Arabel Knisley Walley.

On August 13, 1950 Cecile married David Benner. They spent 58 years together until Dave's death on October 14, 2008.

Cecile is survived by her six children, Wally (Melody) Benner, Cappie (Randy) Chrisman, Chris (Denise) Benner, Mark (Donna) Benner, Lisa (Randy) Castle and Lori Benner.
Cecile is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Bridgett McCloskey, Jill Coy, Jan Batson, Carrie Knisley, Mid Bowdle, Rachel Chrisman-Potts, Sara Lytle, Kristen Montgomery, Adam Benner, Natasha Lingo, Benjamin Benner and Matthew Castle; 21 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Joshua, Elijah, Leah, Kinzli, Landan, Beckett, Isaac, Lydia, Cameron, Carly, Kaitlin, Randa, Laney, Eleanor, Meredith, Evan, Miles, Audrey, Nadia and Sophie; 2 great great grandchildren, Myla and Jaya.

Cecile was predeceased by brothers, Rodney and Marty Walley; sisters, Betty Eiring, Jeanette Adams, Josephine Cottrill and Sharma Peterson. Surviving are sisters, Louise Hines and Hazel Malone; brothers, Jerry Walley, Clark Walley, Jr. and Steve Walley and many, many nieces and nephews.
Cecile was a loving wife and mother. Her entire family will miss her deeply.

Funeral services will be 3 pm Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Paxton Area Life Squad Box 614 Bainbridge.
