Charlene Belle Gadker

Charlene Belle Flesher Gadker, 93, of Richmond VA, formerly of Frankfort, died on December 5, 2013 in Richmond VA. She was born on March 8, 1920 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Charles Monroe and Minnie Christine Wright Flesher. On June 24, 1939 she married her husband Joseph Gadker, who after 66 years of marriage, preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 2005.

She is survived by her daughters, Joye Gadker Ledford of Richmond, and Christine Knoblaugh (Mark) Dooley of Sunnyvale CA, three grandchildren, Robert E. (Stacey) Ledford III of Kansas City MO, Angie Ledford (Samuel) Hutchison of Richmond, and Monica Christine Knoblaugh of Sunnyvale, CA; five great-grandchildren, Carter Joseph Ledford, Kyle David Ledford, Kaitlyn Nicole Ledford, Tyler McLean Hutchison, and Margaret Joye "Molly" Hutchison, all of Richmond, and extended family member, Barbara H. Ledford, of Richmond. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary George Gadker, and son-in-law, Robert E. Ledford Jr..

Charlene was a graduate of Frankfort High School, a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern Star, and American Legion Auxiliary. A "proud to be an American" Ohio country girl, she enjoyed selling apples and cider most of her life for: Mom & Pop, Joe's Apples, and Charlene's Produce. She was gifted artistically and loved traveling, adored animals, made friends easily and wrote great letters, poetry and short stories. But above all else, she loved God and family!

A graveside service will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in the Greenlawn Cemetery Frankfort. Friends may call at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME on Monday, December 16 from 5 to 7 p.m..
