Charles E. Krafthefer, 67, of Frankfort, died at 2am on Monday, January 25, 2016, at his daughter's home. He was born on April 25, 1948 in Ross County, the son of the late Albert and Betty Dearth Krafthefer. He married the former Cathy Townsend, who preceded him in death in 1994.
Surviving are his children, Tricia (Jeff) Hardesty and Brent Krafthefer, both of Chillicothe, grandchildren, Santana Cook, Jeffrey Hardesty, Anthony Lurty, several great-grandchildren, sisters, Connie McDill of Chillicothe, Janice Thompson and Gerrie Sowers, both of Columbus, brothers, William (Delsie) Krafthefer of Chillicothe and Neil Krafthefer of Columbus. He was preceded in death by one son, Jason Krafthefer, brothers, Donald, Ronald, TJ and Albert Krafthefer and his loyal dog companion, BB.
Charles was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He worked for Owens Corning Company for 30 years and was a member of the VFW Post 108, Chillicothe, and Post 888 American Legion, Delaware. Charles loved spending time outdoors.
In keeping with Charles' wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
