Charles Demetrios Poulos

Charles D. Poulos, 88, of Frankfort, died at 9:10p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at his home. He was born on March 12, 1926 in Dudley Pennsylvania, the son of the late James and Anna Hotinsky Poulos. On August 18, 1952 he married the former Jean Miller, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Elaine (Gary) Dysert of Prestonsburg KY, Sandy (Warren) Duplain of Hillsboro, and Kathy Bruns of Frankfort, five grandchildren, Colleen Sharkey, Laura Pierce, Jason, Joel and Jordan Bruns, and one great-granddaughter, Lillian Sharkey. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and George Poulos.

Charles was a graduate of West High School, Cleveland, and a 1951 graduate of The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Charles was a member of the United States Navy, and served during World War II. He retired from the Atomic Plant, where he worked as an engineer. Because his work often sent him abroad, Charles and Jean traveled extensively, and spent time living overseas. Charles was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, Chillicothe, and a member of Gideon's International.

In keeping with Charles's wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, is serving the family.
