Curtis W. Wheeler, 84, of Frankfort died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 2:55 p.m. in the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born in Lawrence County, Kentucky on October 3, 1928 to the late Roy and Louise Lemaster Wheeler. On March 16, 1949 he married the former Pauline Frazier and she survives.
He is also survived by his children; Curtis "Gene" (Brenda) Wheeler, Kenneth (Carol) Wheeler, Debbie (Chris) Schneider all of Chillicothe, Ted Wheeler of Frankfort, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a special grandson; Brad Schneider, sister; Pauline Wheeler, four brothers; Homer, Carl, David, Willard Wheeler.
Curtis retired after working 43 years for the Mead Paper Company where he had worked as a press operator. He was part of the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 Frankfort American Legion. Curtis loved to watch his sons play baseball.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Bob Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort where military honors will be accorded by the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 Frankfort American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 pm.
