Dale E. Knisley, 81, of Greenfield, died at 6:54 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Adena Greenfield Medical Center following a lingering illness. He was born on Friday, January 1, 1943, in Highland County, the son of the late Ernest F. and Thelma R. "Tootie" Bryan Knisley. Dale married the former Teresa Stroup on July 1, 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa, their two children; Bryan (Susan) Knisley of Greenfield and Julie (Jeff) Bowdle of Frankfort, six grandchildren; Brandon, Caleb, Hannah, Wade, Brittney and Gerri and his one brother, Rick (Teresa) Knisley of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Knisley.
Dale was a graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School, Class of 1961. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves. Dale was a meat cutter and he and Teresa owned and operated the Frankfort Cardinal Store in Frankfort. He was a member of the Frankfort Church of Christ and the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 - American Legion.
In keeping with Dale's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at the Frankfort Church of Christ at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 with Shaun Raleigh officiating. The church will be opened at 1 p.m. for family and friends to gather for the service. Following the service, Dale will be laid to rest in the Bainbridge Cemetery where military honors will be accorded. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, is serving the family.
