Dale E. "Ed" Moran

Dale E. "Ed" Moran, 81, of Chillicothe, died at his home on Wednesday evening, April 5, 2023, following an extended illness. He was born on Sunday, October 12, 1941, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Dale H. Moran and Esther Long Silcott. On April 28, 1974, he married the former Connie Lykins, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by two sons, Dale Marvin (Lisa) Moran of Chillicothe, Keith (Tracey) Moran of Dublin, three grandchildren, Noah (Rebecca) Moran, Kyla Butler, Tyler Butler, and one brother, Richard Moran of Chillicothe. Ed was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Arledge.

Ed was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and served in the United States Navy on the submarine USS Wahoo, SS565. He owned and operated Moran Trucking Inc, Frankfort. He was a member of the Frankfort Presbyterian Church, the Frankfort Masonic Lodge 309 Free and Accepted Masons, and the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 Frankfort American Legion.

In accordance with his family's wishes, Ed was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, at the convenience of his family.
