Danny R. Heath

Danny R. Heath 63 of Wilmington passed from this life 11:46 am Monday, October 30, 2023 at his home after a 3yr battle with lung cancer. He was born March 13, 1960, in Ross County the son of the late Richard Kenneth Heath and the late Mary Jewell (Claytor) Riehle.

He survived by the love of his life, Wanda Lindsey; her children, whom he loved as his own, Vaughn Spencer (Toni), Derrick Spencer (Jackie), Christopher Lindsey (Tiffany)  and Jeremiah Lindsey; 3 grandchildren Christopher Lindsey, Hope Lindsey and Javen Spencer; his siblings Phoebe Shirk (Kevin) of Connecticut, Mike (Julie) Heath, Richard “Woody” Heath and Reva Meyer (Chris) all of Bainbridge; nephews, Milo Heath, Jerico Heath, and Christopher Meyer; nieces, Ginny Lynn Turner, Brenda Kinney and Shelby Jenkins; several great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins who he dearly loved.  He also had a very special relationship with Aunt Cindy Tschudy.

In addition to his parents Danny was preceded in death by a sister Martha Heath; a brother Kenneth Milo Heath and a nephew Matthew Heath.

Danny enjoyed mushroom hunting, arrowhead hunting, berry picking, taking care of his yard and spending time in his shop refinishing furniture. He loved spending time at home with family and he thoroughly loved being a papaw.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 pm Thursday, November 16, 2023 in Moore’s Cemetery with rich Cottrill officiating.

The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME of Bainbridge is serving the family.
