Darlene Wood

Darlene E. Wood, 64, of Clarksburg, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, 1958, in Circleville, the daughter of Glenn L. and Virginia Corne Hunter. She married Paul Wood on May 18, 1980.

She is survived by her husband, Paul of Clarksburg, her mother, Virginia Hunter of Circleville, two daughters, Jennifer Wood (Moe Carter) of Schenectady, NY and Veronica (Bub) Campbell of Chillicothe. Darlene is also survived by her three grandchildren: Sadie Campbell, Reed Campbell and Hunter Ditmer, one sister, Tammy (Kevin) Sowers of Amanda, one brother, Glenn Lewis (Carolyn) Hunter of Laurelville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Misty Hunter. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn L. Hunter and one grandson, Corbin Campbell.

Darlene was a 1976 graduate of Logan Elm High School. She had worked at Greenfield Research and the Double D Carryout in Clarksburg. She loved to play Bingo and she never missed an opportunity to play.

Friends can visit with Darleen's family on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg with Don Valentine, a close family friend officiating.
