Darrel Raypole, 74, of Bainbridge, died at 9:41 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born on April 23, 1940 in Ross County, the son of the late Homer and Ellen Penwell Raypole. On April 21, 1962 he married the former Dorothy "Dottie" Elliott, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons; Marty (Colleen) Raypole and Keith (Tina) Raypole all of Bainbridge, four grandchildren; Brandon, Tana (Jesse Fisher), Travis and Seth, two great grandchildren; Sawyer and Hensley and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Vernon Raypole and an infant brother, Ronald Eugene Raypole.
Darrel was a veteran of the US Army and was an owner operator truck driver. He loved to play cards and he always enjoyed his trips to the casinos.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014 in the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Rev. Charles "Chuck" Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with the Raypole family on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
