David Edward Morris

David E. Morris, 54, of Chillicothe, died at 1:10 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on November 12, 1957, in Fayette County, the son of James E. "Cork" and Lucille Overly Morris. On August 10, 2012, he married the former Grace Savoy who survives.

Also surviving are his mother; Lucille Morris of Frankfort, five children; Andrea Smith of Frankfort, Emalee Marteney of Chillicothe, constant companion, Abbegale Simmons at home, Sara Morris, Kyle Morris, both of Pennsylvania, one grandchild; Madeline Marteney, one sister; Cheryl L. (Larry) Pennington of Clarksburg, three brothers; Danny L. (Gwen) Morris of Chillicothe, Michael A. Morris of Frankfort, Bruce D. (Debbie) Morris of Chillicothe, special nieces and nephews, his four special kitty cats and best friends; Jon Kellough and Andy Pettit. He was preceded in death by his father "Cork."

Dave was a 1976 graduate of Adena/Pickaway Ross JVS. At 19 years old he began working as a welder for Portsmouth Atomic Plant, in the Ohio Chemical & Atomic Workers Union. He went on to work at Chilpaco, Union 998, Chillicothe and was currently a millwright at Glatfelter, Union 731. Dave loved working on old Oliver tractors and was a member of the Ross County Coon Hunters Club and the Fox Knob Coon Hunters Club.

Funeral service will be held at 1p.m., on Monday, October 22, 2012 in EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
