David Raymond Myers, 89, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on March 29, reuniting with his beloved wife, Wanda. Born with an adventurous spirit, David spent his youth exploring the outdoors, a passion that led him to proudly serve in the United States Army.
A true outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting and fishing, later channeling his creativity into woodworking. Due to his adventurous spirit, he knew the areas of Bourneville, Nipgen, and Spargursville like the back of his hand. His love for nature and craftsmanship was only rivaled by his love for family.
David is survived by his daughters, Debbie Hudnell and Diane Detty; grandchildren, Shanda (Frank), Shane (Amy), Shawn, Tyler (Emily), Cassie, and Holly; great-grandchildren, Madison, Tylin, Hunter, Braylin, Aydin, Chad, Erica, Morgan, Averie, Lilly, Avion, Adelicia, and Nyla; and great-great-grandson, Sawyer. He is also survived by his brother, Mike. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorlene, and granddaughter, Felicia.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge, Ohio, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, where the viewing will begin at 11 a.m., followed by services at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Twin Township Cemetery in Bourneville, Ohio with military honors by the Ross County Honor Guard.
David's strength, kindness, and adventurous spirit will live on in those who loved him. His stories, laughter, and wisdom will be deeply missed, but his legacy will remain in the hearts of his family and the great outdoors he cherished.
