David L. Patterson

David L. Patterson, 67, of Frankfort, died at 6:35 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his home with his family around him. He was born on January 21, 1945 in Ross County, the son of the late Stanley R. and Dorothy L. Knisley Patterson. On May 3, 1965 he married the former Cheryl Snyder and she survives.

Also surviving are three sons; Christopher (Jaqui) Patterson, Daniel (Angela) Patterson, David Mitchell (Becky) Patterson, all of Frankfort, seven grandchildren; Brandy, Kortney, Tasha, Kristen, Kaylie, Samantha, Jordan, two great-grandchildren Emma and Zoey, two sisters; Joan Steiner of Chillicothe, Barbara Patterson of Florida, two brothers; James R. Patterson of Washington, Utah, and Dane Patterson of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by one sister; Sharon Patterson.

David was a 1963 graduate of the Frankfort High School. He retired from the Chillicothe Correctional Institute as a corrections officer. He was an avid and skilled wood worker. David was also an active member of the Frankfort Liars Club which met daily at 1:30 p.m. at the Frankfort Dairy Cone.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Bob Rose and Don Ringer officiating. According to his wishes, cremation will follow the service and burial of the cremains will be at the convenience of the family in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5 - 8 p.m.. The family respectfully requests that no flowers be sent, instead they ask that all contributions be made to the Dave Patterson Scholarship Fund at any Citizens National Bank office.
