David McKinley Pettiford

David M. Pettiford, 63, of Clarksburg, died at 1:50a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at his daughter's home. He was born on November 22, 1948 in Greenfield, the son of the late Arthur and Edna Mitchell Pettiford.

Surviving are six children; Barbara I. Pettiford of Dayton, Carla (Johnny) Harris of Washington C.H., Mary Pettiford of Dayton, Beatrice "Lulu" Pettiford of Greenfield, David L. Pettiford of Washington C.H., Kenneth Pettiford of Greenfield, 22 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sisters; Mary Hicks of Columbus, Thelma Tranner of Washington C.H., Violet Frisbee of Chillicothe, one brother; Wallace Pettiford of Frankfort, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, special friends, Gene Carmen and Bill Barnhart. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter; Denise Harris, two sisters and three brothers.

David was a finish operator for 26 years at Johnson Controls in Greenfield.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11a.m. until the time of service.
