Don Dawson

Don W. Dawson, 91, of Washington C.H., died peacefully at his home on Tuesday evening, September 24, 2024. He was born on Monday, November 14, 1932, in Ross County, a son of the late Marion B. and Ellen Zurmehly Dawson. Don married the former Norma J. McQuiniff on November 21, 1951 and they shared life together for 72 years.

Don is survived by his wife, Norma, their five children: Lee Dawson of Washington C.H., Karen (Carey) Maddux of Clarksburg, Jill (Val) Skinner of Williamsport, Tim Dawson of Washington C.H.. and Guy Dawson of Clarksburg. Don and Norma have four grandchildren: Kara Justice, Todd Maddux, Abby Patterson and Guy W. Skinner, five great grandchildren; Livia and Lincoln Patterson, Dawson Justice, Owen and Myah Maddux. He is also survived by two brothers: Byron (Marilyn) Dawson of Greenfield and Carlon "Cappy" (Mildred) Dawson of Washington C.H. He was preceded in death by one brother, Marion Dawson.

Don was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School. He was a lifelong farmer.

Family and friends are asked to attend a graveside service on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Pastor Dorothy Countryman will officiate the service. No calling hours will be held. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
