Donald L. Funk

Donald L. "Don" Funk, 77, of New Holland, died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, September 4, 2024, at his home. He was born on Tuesday, April 29, 1947, in Fayette County, Ohio, the son of the late Thomas E and Minnie M. Dillon Funk. On January 28, 1967, he married the former Sharon J. Wilson.

Surviving Don are his wife, Sharon, two daughters: Donna Jean (Joseph) Yoe of Chillicothe and Davida L. (John) Ater of Frankfort, two granddaughters: Dana Disney and Megan (Devon) Taylor, one great granddaughter: Everly Taylor, three sisters: Betty Lute, Nancy Taylor and Linda Wynne all of Washington C.H., two brothers: Larry (Dorothy) Funk and Ronnie (Patty) Funk all of Washington C.H. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death.by one son: David Funk and two brothers, Tommy and Kenny Funk.

Don worked as mechanic at John Deere, and he retired from the WalMart Distribution Center in Grove City. He was a member of the Maple Grove Christian Union Church. Don played the guitar and piano and he loved playing music for the church. He enjoyed riding his Harley with the others in the "HOG," and volunteered at the VA Memorial Golf Course. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 1 pm in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort . Following the service, Don will be laid to rest in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11 am until the time of the service.
