Donald Ray Funk Sr

Donald R. Funk Sr., 66, of Frankfort, died at 5:25p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on October 9, 1948 in New Holland, the son of the late Worley and Bessie Forsythe Funk Sr.. On July 6, 1974 he married the former Judy Mae Keeton, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Donald R. (Colleen) Funk Jr. of Frankfort, two daughters, Cammy (Theodore) Routt of Wilmington, Amanda (Chad) Hinty of Chillicothe, ten grandchildren, Taylor, Rylee and Evan Funk, Colton, Gavin and Isaiah Chaney, Josh, Madison and Emily Cook, and Brooklynn Hinty, nine sisters, Bernice Saxour of New Holland, Ethel Williams of Kentucky, Ruby Adams of Bellefontaine, Joann East of Washington Court House, Phyllis McCoy of Idaho, Marilyn (Pete) Hettinger of Chillicothe, Carolyn Funk of Ashville, Linda (Chuck) Smith of Circleville, Sarah (Sandy) Picklesimer of Williamsport, two brothers, Robert Funk of Mt. Gilead, and Larry (Sharon) Funk of New Holland. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Dakota Quinntin Chaney, one sister, Marie Knapp, and four brothers, Worley Funk Jr., Virgil Funk, Neil Funk, and Harley Allen Funk Sr..

Donald was a graduate of Miami Trace High School. He served in the United States Army, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Funeral service will be held at 1p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort where military honors accorded. Friends may visit with the Funk family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8p.m..
