Donald E. Lytle

Donald E. Lytle 70 of Bainbridge died 7:25 am Friday, July 4, 2014 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born September 10, 1943 in Ross County the son of the late Lewis B. and Mildred C. Holbert Lytle.

Donald began Naval training in Chicago, IL transferring to Norfolk, VA then to Oakland, CA where he was served as a radioman on the USS Dennis J. Buckley (DD808) and at the Midway Island Base during Vietnam War. He later retired from the US Navy.
Donald loved raising a garden and cooking, he also enjoyed growing flowers.

He is survived by his sisters, Juanita Bennett of Maine, Judy Penwell of Bainbridge, Elise Wurzbach and Rebecca (Duane) Cawley of Greenfield, Theresa Lytle, Ramona Kellough and Faith (Curtis) Leggett all of Chillicothe and Christy (Bob) Leggett of Georgia; brothers, Steven (Bertha) Lytle of Bourneville, Dick Lytle of Bainbridge and Randy Lytle of Georgia.

Donald was preceded in death by his brothers, David, Melvin and Victor Lytle.

Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Troy Villars officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the Lytle family from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
