Donald Seymour

Donald H. Seymour, 84, of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday evening, September 30, 2023, at his home. He was born in Frankfort, on Sunday, July 23, 1939, a son of the late Russell E. and Evelyn Conley Seymour. In 1971, he married the former Geraldine “Jerry” Lowery, and she survives.

Also surviving are his four children, Marian (Dirck) Everhart of Frankfort, Cindy (Roma) Self of Chillicothe, Kenny Self of Chillicothe, Charlie (Tonya) Seymour of Laurelville, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he dearly loved, four sisters, Juanita (Jack) Blazer of Frankfort, Vicki Hager of Bainbridge, Brenda (Loy) Oberer of Chillicothe, Cindy (Ronnie) Bowdle of Chillicothe, several nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as special friends who felt like second family, Tim, Babygirl Rosie, Josh, and Tom Miller, John Troyer, and their Mennonite Community.  He was preceded in death by, one daughter, Carolyn White, one son, Donald R. “Donnie” Seymour, one daughter-in-law, Brenda Self, four sisters, Bonnie Roberts, Joyce Chaffin, Lena Strausbaugh, Janey Grandstaff, two brothers, infant, Russel Eugene Seymour, and Gary Seymour.

Don honorable served his country in the United States Army. He worked in road construction where he helped build several local highways. He was a member of Local Laborers Union 83, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 600, and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

Family and friends are asked to attend Don’s funeral service on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort where Pastor Tim Miller will officiate. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
