Donald Milton Upp
Donald M. Upp, age 92, of Elgin, South Carolina died on Monday March 17, 2014 at Providence Hospital - Downtown, Columbia SC. He was born in Greenfield on December 10, 1921, the son of the late Milton and Minnie Brookover Upp.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Upp, three sons, five daughters and fifteen grandchildren.
Donald was a Veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. He retired as Art Director for National Cash Register in Dayton. He had been a pilot since he was 16 and was also a flight instructor. He loved motorcycles and was still riding regularly.
Friends may join the Upp family for a graveside service on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Gilboa Cemetery, near New Petersburg. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery. The ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield is assisting the Upp family with local arrangements.
