Donna D. Sturgill

Donna D. Sturgill, 65, of Frankfort, died on Wednesday morning, May 23, 2018, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chilliicothe. She was born on November 24, 1952 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Rudolph “Rudy” and Carleen I. Blazer Tennant.

Donna is survived by her nieces and nephews, Mark (Arion) Smith of McDermott, Pat and Ashley Tennant of Oak Harbor, OH, two great nephews; Dane and Carson Smith. She was preceded in death by her son, Arby Sturgill, one sister, Judith Smith and one brother, Rudolph Tennant.

She was a graduate of Adena High School. Donna received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Hocking College and then completed her studies and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Adena Regional Medical Center. Donna retired from the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center following several years of service.

A gathering of family and friends will be held to share stories and memories of Donna on Sunday, May 27, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Donna’s family has honored her wishes to be cremated. Burial of the cremains will be at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved son, Arby, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
