Dora Dehlai Hatfield

Dora D. Patterson Hatfield, 85, formerly of Frankfort, died at 9:10 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013 in her hometown of Marion OH at the Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born on July 3, 1927 in Marion, the daughter of the late John and Austia Born Sullivan. On March 14, 1946 she married her first husband, Donald E. Patterson who preceded her in death on March 17, 1999. On August 7, 1999 she married William Hatfield, who preceded her in death in February 2000.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Michael) Egbert of Oxford, Patricia (Terry) Orr of Marion; three stepchildren, Marilyn Hempfling, Patricia Pfeifer, William Hatfield Jr.; six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, two special cousins, Mary Sparks of Florida, and Homer Swaney of Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Newland; one sister, three brothers, and a special friend, Garnett Lump.

Dora was a member of the Chillicothe First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed the time she spent with her friends at the Oxford Adult Daycare.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Monday, March 25, 2013 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Reverend Jason Everidge officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
