Dora Mae Wheaton

Dora Mae Elliott Wheaton, 79 of Bainbridge died 8:55 am Saturday, February 9, 2013 at her home. She was born October 20, 1933 in Pike County the daughter of the late Cark and Loie Ethel Wasson Elliott. On June 8, 1968 she married Homer E. Wheaton who died November 22, 1985.
She is survived by sisters, Betty Potts and Dottie (Darrel) Raypole both of Bainbridge; brother, Jim Elliott of Washington CH; sister-in-law, Patty Elliott of Bainbridge; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dora was preceded in death by sisters, May Newman and Mac Smith; brothers, Clyde, George, Clark Jr., and Norva Eugene Elliott; and a niece.
Dora worked at Bill Boatman and Co. for many years and retired from the American Legion Post 14, Bainbridge. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 14 Ladies Auxiliary. She will be deeply missed by ALL her family and friends.
Friends may call from Noon until 2 pm Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge where services will begin at 2 pm with Rev. Charles Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
