Doris Marilyn Driapsa 85 passed away on December 22, 2015. The daughter of Willard and Myrtle Helm Benge, she was born April 8 1930 in Franklin Ohio. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School Class of 1948. Doris was the loving wife of Joseph E. Driapsa, who together raised 3 children, Diana (Donald) Bouille, David (Patty) and Daniel (Terry).

Doris was a loving homemaker who enjoyed family, friends, baking pies, photography and winters in Naples Florida where she and Joe attended the First Baptist Church. She was a writer for several newspapers, clerk for the Village of Bainbridge, a loyal fan of Ohio State Football and a member of the Nathaniel Massie Chapter of DAR.

Doris is survived by her 3 children; grandchildren, Shellie (Mike) Davis, Stacia (Nate) Burke, Jessica (Ryan) Fairley and Paige Driapsa; great grandchildren, Zach Davis, Tia (Ben House) Davis, Maddie and Abbie Burke and Reid Fairley; great great grandchildren, Savaeh and Adella House; brother, Chris Helcermanas-Benge (Mona); sister, Virginia (John) Jett; and nephews, Mark Saylor, Mike Benge, Chris Benge, Stu Hodnot and Brad (Sue Ellen) Hodnot.

Doris was preceded in death by Joseph, her husband of 58 years; sisters, Willa Jean Benge and Ilene (Herman) Saylor; and brother, Jim (Bonnie) Benge.

The family extends a special thank you to the caring staff of Traditions of Chillicothe and Hospice.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday, December 28, 2015 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Doris's family from 12 pm until the time of service at the funeral home on Monday.
