Doris M. Pollock 88 of South Salem passed from this life Monday, December 13, 2021 at James Cancer Hospital, Columbus. She was born January 28, 1933 in Ross County the daughter of the late Orville and Corda (Williamson) Atwood. On May 24, 1950 she married Lowell P. “Speed” Pollock who died April 14, 2012.
Doris is survived by three sons, Lowell (Kim Miller) Pollock of Frankfort, Kelly Pollock of South Salem and Ronny (Missy Sollars) Pollock of Waverly; two grandchildren, Allister and Rebecca Pollock and several nieces, nephews and friends including a special niece Audrey Miller for all her assistance through the years.
In addition to her parents and husband Doris was preceded in death by five siblings Ruby King, Celia Chaffin, William Edger Atwood, Lester Atwood and Everett “Jim” Atwood.
Doris retired from Greenfield Plastics; She was a past member of the Greenfield Area Life Squad; a founding member of the Twin Township Squad; She was part of Radio Emergency Associated Communications Team (REACT) and she volunteered at the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center. In her free time Doris liked to read and she loved to cook.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Friday, December 17, 2021 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge, with a brief service following. Following the service cremation will take place and her cremains will be placed with Speed in the Twin Township Cemetery.
