Doris Pulver Wipert, 91, died Monday, December 19, 2011, 5:20 pm in her home at Westminster- Thurber Community surrounded by her family. She was born December 30, 1919 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Lee and Frieda Baker Pulver. On June 21, 1937 she married Roy E. Wipert who died May 28, 1987.
Doris is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Zelanin and her husband Tom of Columbus, a son, Daniel Wipert of Memphis, TN, and six grandchildren and their families: Ismail Jallaq and his wife Mirvat and their children Eman, Ismail, Mujahid, and Muhammad, Maleha Jallaq and her husband Atef and their children Khalil and Ahlam, Said Jallaq, and Otta Jallaq all of the Columbus area; David Wipert and wife Melissa and their daughter, Nina Marie and Dania Kittrell and her husband Chris and their children Nicholas, Caitlin and Alyssa of TN; one brother, Elmer Pulver and his wife Marilyn; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family, in particular two beloved nieces, Barbara Ann Lawson and her husband Steve and Johnetta Pulver.
In addition to her parents and husband Doris was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph, Robert and Allen Pulver.
Doris was a 1937 graduate of Bainbridge High School.
Memorial services will be held on December 30 at 3:00pm in the Westminster Thurber Auditorium 717 Neil Avenue, Columbus Ohio.
