Dorothy Lucille "Lucy" Wheeler

Dorothy L. "Lucy" Wheeler, 72, of Roxabel-Frankfort, died at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on September 5, 1941, the daughter of the late William Riley and Dorothy Shonkwiler Mahorney. On July 13, 1963 she married Carl R. "Pigeon Man" Wheeler, who preceded her in death on April 1, 2000.

Surviving are her children, Carl Raymond (Charity) Wheeler Jr. of Frankfort, Michael (Lori Roll) Wheeler of Clarksburg, Dottie (Carlon) Drum and Stephenie (Jason) Hutchison all of Frankfort, grandchildren, Jamie, Samantha, Alyssa, Meggan, Caitlyn, Colton, Jessica, MacKenzie, Sundi, Hunter, Blake, Lexi and Jenna, great-grandchildren, Reed, Kaylee, Mason, Madeline, Layla, and Macey, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Jean Drummond, and Lilly Mae Copley, and two brothers, William "Bill" Mahorney, and Teddy Mahorney.

Lucy was a 1959 graduate of Williamsport High School. She retired from General Electric, Circleville and loved to go fishing.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2014 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Pastor Bruce Viar officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the Wheeler family on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
