Dwayne D. "Moon" Detty

Dwayne D. “Moon” Detty, 49, of Frankfort, died unexpectedly at Adena Greenfield Medical Center, on Tuesday evening, October 26, 2021. He was born on, Saturday, March 4, 1972, in Ross County, the son of Berman P. and Sara “Sue” Schoonover Detty. On May 12, 2007, he married the former Amber Richardson, and she survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Sara “Sue” Detty of Frankfort, two brothers, Floyd (Denise) Detty and Keith (Tammy) Detty, both of Frankfort, father and mother-in-law, Mark (Vicky) Richardson, brother-in-law, Josh (Tasha) Richiron, both of Fayetteville, nieces and nephews, Ellen, Brittany, Jessica, Alisha, Floyd, Caleb, Josh, Gabrielle, several grandnieces and grandnephews, and his fur babies, Bucky and Hilde. He was preceded in death by his father, Berman P. Detty, one sister, Deborah Detty, and one brother, Berman P. Detty, Jr..

Moon was a 1990 graduate of Adena High School. He was a registered nurse and worked at Buckeye Health Plan in Columbus. He loved reading, collecting, and all things connected to comic books. Dwayne also loved archery, the Dallas Cowboys, the Ohio State Buckeyes, traveling with Amber, sampling and collecting hot sauces, and cooking.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, November 8, 2021, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends and family are invited to visit with Dwayne’s family at the funeral home on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m..
