Edith C. Spires

Edith C. Spires, 70, of Frankfort, died at 9:28pm, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 5, 1942 in Springfield OH, the daughter of the late Melvin E. and Mary Alice Kerr Bethel. On August 20, 1961 she married Warner Spires and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1989.

She is survived by two children; Warner Spires Jr., Kathy (Virgil "Rusty") Flannery, all of Frankfort, four grandchildren; Charlie (Megan) Pepper, Joshua (Maggie) Pepper, Nathan (Mary) Flannery, Kelci Flannery, six great-grandchildren; Brailon, Hadaleigh Pepper and one on the way, Macy, Austin, Kylah Pepper, two sisters; Edna Mae Newsome of Massieville, June (Larry) Montgomery of Chillicothe, three brothers; Elvin (Stella) Bethel, Sam Bethel all of Chillicothe, Ed (Linda) Bethel of Punta Gorda FL, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister; Esta Angus, and two brothers; Elmer and Earl Bethel.

Edith retired from Fayette County Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a dietician.

Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, November 19, 2012 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe.
