Edna Faye Kinzer

Edna Faye Kinzer, 91, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday evening November 29th 2016 at her home. She was born on March 6, 1925 in Fayette County, Bloomingburg, Ohio. She was one of five daughters born to Grant and Mamie Leach. Edna was married 66 years to John T. Kinzer Sr.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean (George) Geiger and Joyce (Denny) Rusch; one son, John (Penny) Kinzer, Jr.; four grandchildren, Jason Kinzer, Kelly (Nathan) Malone, Erin (Chris) Houston and Ashley (Derek) Heistan; and 2 great grandchildren, Maya and Allison Malone.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and a son, Jack Kinzer.

Edna was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a partner alongside her husband running the dairy farm. She milked cows until she was 60 yrs. old. She said “It was hard work, but I loved it.”

She loved animals and children. Some of her best memories were teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Fruitdale, a member of Order of Easter Star in Greenfield and encouraged those she loved.

Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Pastor Jerry Foister officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Edna’s family from 9 am until the time of service Saturday.
