Elizabeth "Libby" Haas Bartley, 80, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the home of her daughter. She was born February 15, 1935 near Greenfield, Ohio to the late Clyde and Olive Wagoner.
Libby graduated from Buckskin High School in South Salem, Ohio in 1953. She joined The United States Navy during the Korean Conflict where she met her soul mate Floyd W. Bartley. They married January 28, 1955. Libby was the devoted mother of Tina Kay Nutt and David "Cleve" Cleveland Bartley.
Libby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenfield, Helen Barrett Mission Circle, Order of the Eastern Star, Concerned Veterans of Greenfield and a former board member of Greenhill's Village. Libby along with her husband owned and operated Kaluau Kreme in Greenfield for 21 years where she made many life-long friends.
She enjoyed traveling, taking many trips with family and friends, bowling on a league for many years and cooking for her family and her church. She was a volunteer at the First Baptist Church and Adena Greenfield Medical Center.
Along with her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her siblings, brothers; Clyde Jr. and Donald Wagoner, sisters: Mildred Hester and Jean Caplinger.
She is survived by one daughter ; Tina (Roy) Nutt of Lynchburg, Ohio, one son; Cleve (Penny) Bartley of Greenfield, Ohio, grandchildren; Ian (Angie) Trefz, Elizabeth (Ben) Fryman, Mike (Jackie) Gilbert all of Greenfield, Brian (Michele) Gilbert of Sarasota, Florida, great-grandchildren; Devin, Dylan, and Destiny Trefz, Lillian, Sawyer and Benjamin Fryman, Landen, Elaine, Gabe, and Isabel Gilbert all of Greenfield, Cody, Lilly, and Grace Gilbert of Sarasota, Florida and special friend; John McCullough of Greenfield.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church; Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating, burial will follow in South Salem Cemetery with Military Honors being accorded by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield. Friends may visit with Libby's family from 4-8 p.m. Thursday in the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield.
