Ellen L Cox

Ellen L. Cox 80 of Chillicothe formerly of Bainbridge passed from this life Monday, April 12, 2021 at her home. She was born April 16, 1940 in Pickaway County the daughter of the late Robert T. and Ethel R. (Roberts) Martin. On September 20, 1958 she married Leo Cox, who passed away January 22, 2019.

She is survived by five children, Tony (Cathy) Cox of Bainbridge, Pam Shoemaker (Eddie Stewart) of Leesburg, Jimmy Cox, Greg (Joann) Cox and Ronnie (Janet) Cox all of Chillicothe; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, sister Ruth (Wib) Davis; brother Paul (Alicia) Martin and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Ellen was preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia Sells; great granddaughter Chelcia; three sisters Rose Lauerman, Mary Jane Good and Julia Leeth; three brothers Elbert, Johnie and James Martin.

Graveside services will be held 11 am Saturday, April 17, 2021 in the Bainbridge Cemetery with Pastor Brett Smith officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Maple Grove Christion Union Church PO Box 6223 Chillicothe, Ohio  in memory of Ellen. The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
