Ellen B. Gregory, 85, of Frankfort, died at 2:25 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at her home. She was born on May 2, 1927 in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Zena and Verna Jones Smith. On August 30, 1946 she married Donald G. Gregory who preceded her in death on October 1. 2005.
She is survived by her six children; Marcia Hamman of Frankfort, Michael Z. Gregory of Seamen, OH, Janine (Butch) Peabody of Bainbridge, Jennifer (Steve) Grove of Gahanna, Kathy (Jim) Walker of Greenfield, Donette (Daniel) Mills of Frankfort, seventeen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, one sister Edith Jones of Leesburg and one sister-in-law; Mary Ellen Smith of Greenfield. She was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, one son-in-law, James R. Hamman, two sisters, Evelyn Smith and Betty Carson, tow brother, Donald and Edwin Smith.
Ellen was a homemaker. She was Dietician at the Greenfield Municipal Hospital for sixteen years and had operated the Chatterbox Restaurant in Greenfield for several years.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield with Rev. John Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery, Fayette County. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Fayette County, PO Box 849, Washington C.H., OH 43160.
